Computing
Our Computing curriculum has been tailored to the National Curriculum and supported by structured online learning platforms such as Purple Mash. An emphasis has been placed on coding and the learning content has been designed to progress as the children progress through the school. Children will also learn how to use CAD software as they progress through the school, such as SketchUp and Microbits, to aid in their design of buildings and other objects.
An emphasis is also placed on the E-Safety aspect of the National Curriculum. This important element of the curriculum has been embedded into school life and is regularly revisited over the course of the school year through visiting speakers, workshops and ‘Internet Safety Days’. Our aim is that the children use the internet as a useful learning tool and have the confidence and understanding to know what to do to ensure that they are safe online.
