Unfortunately, if you wish your child to return to school but do not complete the attached survey indicating 'Yes', by 9 a.m. Friday 22 May, we will be unable to allow your child to attend from 1st June until further notice.
Thank you to all parents who completed our previous survey. This information has provided us with an initial indication of numbers and preparation is very much under way.
In order for us to be fully prepared and to adhere to all the government guidelines for re-opening, we are now asking all parents of YR,1,6, including key worker children or those deemed as vulnerable (from any year group) who have been attending the provision or have previously completed the Key Worker forms, to complete this brief questionnaire.
We understand that this may be a difficult decision for you and would advise that you read the following information:
As you know, the children are always at the heart of everything we do and we want to group them in the best possible way in order to welcome them back to school safely and successfully.
Drop off will be in-line with guidance and we will be operating a one-way route for parents and children to a designated drop off point on the playground. Parents will not be permitted past this point for safety. At the drop-off point, parents/carers will need to say goodbye and children will then need to come into school independently with the positive encouragement of known school staff. We will be there to reassure the children and welcome them but please understand that we cannot offer physical contact such as holding hands.
Your child will not be with their previous class teacher but we will be letting you know, on Friday, ways that you can help to prepare them for their return. We are really looking forward to welcoming more children back to our school.
If you are currently not willing for your child to attend from 1st June, you will need to wait for further information from the school as to when your child can start attending.
Parents will not be penalised for non-attendance at present.
We would ask that, if your child is returning on 1st June, you follow the usual reporting of absence procedures. It is crucial that children do not attend if they or a member of their household has symptoms of coronavirus.
Thank you for your on-going support. Please know that every child is a much-valued member of our school community whether they are at home or at school.
