E-Safety Talk/Presentation – Monday 6th February, 9:00am
On Tuesday 7th February, all children at Otford will be involved in Safer Internet Day. The theme this year is:
‘Be the change: unite for a better internet’.
In addition to a variety of fun and engaging activities linked to this theme throughout the week, we would love to promote dialogue within and beyond the school community. Each child will leave school on Tuesday wearing a sticker with a question to discuss at home. All school staff will know the question and we will be asking children to discuss their views and thoughts with us, as well as each other, during the week.
We are encouraging children in KS2 to apply for the role of 'Digital Leader'. Application forms were
distributed on Friday (but can also be collected from the Office) and we will be allocating positions on Tuesday.
Working in partnership with parents/carers is essential for children to be safe online; therefore Mrs
Belcher-Whyte has organised a Parent Workshop to keep you updated on this important issue. Jamie Booth (CEOP Ambassador from St Michael’s School) will be holding a presentation for Otford parents/carers on Monday 6th February. This will take place in the hall at 9 a.m. and is envisaged to last about an hour. It would be great to see many of you there!
