Financial Annual Report for the year ended 31 August 2018

 

Summary of the main achievements during the year:

 

Opening Balance 1 September 2017: £13,058.20

 

The income for the year totaled £20,490.59.
(2017 £21,529; 2016: £24,983; 2015: £19,110).

The PFTA Expenses in the year totaled £1,066.62.

 

This included memberships, insurance, licenses, general admin expenses, helper’s expenses, paid for events and equipment such as: New Money Counter, Storage Boxes, Wine Glasses, etc.

 

Through its fundraising activities and donations received (including gift aid) in the
current and preceding years the PTFA have benefitted the pupils of Otford Primary
School by funding expenditure totaling £10,616.29
(2017 £42,225; 2016: £8,062; 2015: £26,000)

The year end closing balance at 31 August 2018 is: £22,030.14

 

Each year, we commit to £1400 of class budgets and £340 first news subscriptions.
The PTFA has also committed to purchases the ‘Carved Seating’ which includes the
already supplied mushroom stalls and benches: £1,270.

 

Therefore, we start the year with £19,020 available for use.

 

The balance for the ‘Top Draw’ lottery account is £2,364.80, providing a sum of £1,465
available for expenditure on library related Items.
